General Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 1 August 2026
These General Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Minara Technology Services FZC LLC, a company incorporated in Sharjah Publishing City Free Zone (SPCFZ), Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, under Commercial Licence No. 4429483.01, as the operator of the MySchoolUAE platform ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the MySchoolUAE website, platform, applications, digital services and related features (collectively, the "Platform").
By accessing, browsing, registering for, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately discontinue your use of the Platform.
1. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
- Account
- means a registered user account created to access certain features of the Platform.
- Application
- means any enquiry, application, request for admission or related information submitted through the Platform to a School.
- Champion School
- means a School that has entered into a separate commercial agreement with MySchoolUAE for enhanced Platform services, marketing, visibility or other partnership benefits.
- Content
- means all information, text, graphics, photographs, videos, software, databases, logos, documents, communications and other materials made available on or through the Platform.
- Listed School
- means a School displayed on the Platform that has not entered into a Champion School partnership agreement with MySchoolUAE. A Listed School may be displayed using publicly available information or information supplied by the School.
- Parent User
- means a parent, legal guardian or any individual authorised to make educational enquiries or submit applications on behalf of a child.
- Platform Services
- means the products, tools, functionality and services provided through the Platform from time to time.
- School
- means any nursery, school, academy or educational institution listed on the Platform, whether as a Listed School or a Champion School.
- School Profile
- means the information displayed on the Platform relating to a School.
- User
- means any individual or organisation accessing or using the Platform, including Parent Users, Schools and authorised representatives.
- User Content
- means any information, documents, photographs, messages, forms, applications or other material uploaded, submitted or transmitted by a User through the Platform.
Headings are provided for convenience only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
2. NATURE OF THE PLATFORM
2.1 MySchoolUAE operates an independent technology platform that enables families to discover, compare and connect with Schools located within the United Arab Emirates.
2.2 The Platform may provide educational information, school profiles, search tools, comparison functionality, enquiry services, application workflows, visit requests, communication tools and other related services.
2.3 MySchoolUAE acts solely as a technology provider facilitating communication between Users and Schools.
2.4 MySchoolUAE is not:
- a School;
- an education provider;
- an admissions authority;
- an immigration adviser;
- a recruitment agency;
- a representative or agent of any School.
2.5 Each School remains solely responsible for:
- admissions decisions;
- enrolment requirements;
- tuition fees;
- scholarships;
- educational programmes;
- regulatory compliance;
- inspection performance;
- safeguarding obligations;
- communications with families;
- and all educational services provided by that School.
2.6 Any contractual relationship arising between a Parent User and a School exists solely between those parties. MySchoolUAE is not a party to that relationship and assumes no responsibility for its negotiation, performance or enforcement.
2.7 Nothing contained on the Platform shall be interpreted as a guarantee that a User will obtain admission to any School or that any School will accept a particular application.
3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 Users must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to create an Account or submit an Application.
3.2 By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
- (a)you satisfy the eligibility requirements set out in these Terms;
- (b)all information provided by you is accurate, complete and up to date;
- (c)you will promptly update any information that becomes inaccurate.
3.3 Where a User accesses the Platform on behalf of a School or another organisation, that User warrants that they have the necessary authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
3.4 Parent Users submitting information relating to a child represent and warrant that they are the child's parent, legal guardian or otherwise legally authorised to provide such information and to submit Applications through the Platform.
4. USER ACCOUNTS
4.1 Certain Platform Services require Users to register an Account.
4.2 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activities carried out using their Account.
4.3 Users shall immediately notify MySchoolUAE of any suspected unauthorised access or security breach affecting their Account.
4.4 Users may not:
- share their login credentials;
- create fraudulent Accounts;
- impersonate another individual or organisation;
- transfer their Account without our written consent.
4.5 MySchoolUAE reserves the right to suspend, restrict or permanently terminate any Account where:
- (a)inaccurate or misleading information has been provided;
- (b)these Terms have been breached;
- (c)fraudulent or suspicious activity is detected;
- (d)continued access presents a security, operational or reputational risk to the Platform or its Users.
5. PLATFORM SERVICES
Parent Users may be able to:
- search and filter Schools;
- compare Schools;
- view School Profiles;
- submit enquiries;
- request additional information;
- request campus visits or meetings;
- submit Applications where available;
- monitor the status of Applications where supported by the Platform.
Schools may be able to:
- manage their School Profile;
- receive enquiries and Applications;
- communicate with Parent Users through the Platform;
- access reporting, analytics and lead management tools where available;
- participate in additional Platform services under separate commercial agreements.
5.3 MySchoolUAE may introduce, modify, suspend or discontinue any Platform Service at any time where reasonably necessary for operational, technical, security or commercial reasons.
6. APPLICATIONS, ENQUIRIES AND VISIT REQUESTS
6.1 The Platform enables Parent Users to submit enquiries, request information, arrange visits where available and submit Applications to participating Schools.
6.2 By submitting an enquiry or Application, the Parent User authorises MySchoolUAE to share the submitted information with the selected School for the purpose of processing the enquiry or Application.
6.3 Submission of an Application through the Platform does not:
- guarantee admission;
- reserve a place;
- guarantee that a School will review the Application within a specific timeframe;
- create any contractual relationship between the Parent User and MySchoolUAE.
6.4 Schools are solely responsible for:
- reviewing Applications;
- requesting additional documentation;
- arranging assessments or interviews;
- making admissions decisions;
- communicating admission outcomes.
6.5 MySchoolUAE does not review, verify or approve admissions decisions made by Schools and accepts no responsibility for any decision reached by a School.
6.6 Parent Users are responsible for ensuring that all information and documents submitted through the Platform are complete, accurate and truthful.
6.7 Where a School requests additional documentation or information, the Parent User remains solely responsible for responding directly to that School.
6.8 MySchoolUAE does not guarantee that every School listed on the Platform will accept enquiries, respond to Applications or participate in all Platform Services.
7. LISTED SCHOOLS AND CHAMPION SCHOOLS
7.1 The Platform may display both Listed Schools and Champion Schools. The services, features and functionality available to each School may vary depending on the nature of its relationship with MySchoolUAE.
7.2 Listed Schools are Schools that appear on the Platform but have not entered into a commercial partnership agreement with MySchoolUAE. Information relating to Listed Schools may be obtained from publicly available sources, information provided directly by the School, or other reliable sources considered appropriate by MySchoolUAE.
7.3 Champion Schools are Schools that have entered into a separate written commercial agreement with MySchoolUAE for the provision of additional Platform services, marketing opportunities, visibility, analytics or other agreed services.
7.4 Schools are responsible for ensuring that any information they provide to MySchoolUAE is accurate, complete and kept up to date. MySchoolUAE reserves the right to update, amend, suspend or remove School Profiles where reasonably necessary to maintain the accuracy, integrity or security of the Platform or to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
7.5 The inclusion of a School on the Platform does not constitute or imply an endorsement, accreditation, recommendation or guarantee by MySchoolUAE. Parents are responsible for independently evaluating each School and verifying any information that may influence their enrolment decision.
7.6 The display of a School Profile, including its name, logo, photographs or other identifying information, does not by itself indicate that the School has a commercial relationship with MySchoolUAE unless expressly identified as a Champion School or otherwise stated on the Platform.
7.7 MySchoolUAE reserves the right to edit, update, suspend or remove School Profiles where necessary to:
- correct inaccuracies;
- comply with legal obligations;
- maintain Platform integrity;
- address misleading or unlawful content.
8. DATA SHARING AND PRIVACY
8.1 MySchoolUAE processes personal information in accordance with applicable data protection legislation within the United Arab Emirates and its Privacy Policy.
8.2 By submitting an enquiry or Application, Parent Users expressly authorise MySchoolUAE to transmit the relevant information to the selected School.
8.3 Once information has been shared with a School, that School becomes independently responsible for its own processing, storage and use of personal information in accordance with applicable law.
8.4 Parent Users acknowledge that MySchoolUAE may retain records relating to enquiries, Applications and Platform activity where reasonably necessary to:
- operate the Platform;
- comply with legal obligations;
- resolve disputes;
- improve Platform Services;
- maintain security;
- produce analytical reporting.
8.5 Users represent and warrant that they have the legal authority to submit any personal information uploaded through the Platform.
8.6 Users shall not upload information relating to another individual unless authorised to do so.
9. ACCEPTABLE USE
Users agree not to:
- (a)use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
- (b)provide false or misleading information;
- (c)interfere with the operation or security of the Platform;
- (d)upload malicious software or harmful code;
- (e)attempt unauthorised access to any part of the Platform;
- (f)copy, reproduce or exploit Platform Content without permission;
- (g)infringe intellectual property rights;
- (h)impersonate another individual or organisation;
- (i)engage in abusive, defamatory, discriminatory or unlawful conduct;
- (j)use automated software, bots or scripts to access the Platform without authorisation.
10. SCHOOL OBLIGATIONS
Schools using the Platform agree to:
- (a)provide accurate information regarding their institution;
- (b)keep School Profiles updated;
- (c)process Parent enquiries professionally;
- (d)comply with all applicable education and data protection laws;
- (e)ensure that all authorised representatives accessing the Platform have appropriate authority.
Schools remain solely responsible for:
- admissions decisions;
- tuition fees;
- educational services;
- communications with Parent Users;
- compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
11. COMMERCIAL ARRANGEMENTS AND ANTI-CIRCUMVENTION
11.1 Certain commercial services offered by MySchoolUAE are governed by separate written agreements entered into between MySchoolUAE and participating Schools.
11.2 Nothing in these Terms shall replace or amend any separate commercial agreement executed between MySchoolUAE and a School.
11.3 Schools shall not intentionally use information obtained through the Platform to circumvent agreed commercial arrangements with MySchoolUAE.
11.4 Without limitation, Schools shall not intentionally encourage Parent Users to bypass the Platform where doing so is intended to avoid obligations arising under any applicable commercial agreement.
11.5 MySchoolUAE reserves all rights available under applicable law and any applicable commercial agreement in relation to any breach of this clause.
12. CRM INTEGRATIONS
12.1 Where reasonably required to facilitate Platform Services, MySchoolUAE may request that a School integrates or connects its admissions management system, CRM or other operational software with the Platform.
12.2 Schools agree to cooperate reasonably with such integration requirements where applicable.
12.3 MySchoolUAE does not guarantee compatibility with every third-party system.
12.4 Schools remain responsible for maintaining their own systems, data integrity and security.
13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
13.1 The Platform, including its software, design, layout, functionality, databases, source code, trademarks, branding, graphics, text and other proprietary materials developed, created or owned by MySchoolUAE, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved by MySchoolUAE.
13.2 The Platform may also display School names, logos, photographs, videos, trademarks, descriptions and other materials that are owned by Schools or other third parties. Such materials remain the intellectual property of their respective owners, and MySchoolUAE does not claim ownership of any third-party intellectual property displayed on the Platform.
13.3 Certain information and materials displayed on the Platform may be provided directly by Schools or obtained from publicly available sources for the purpose of presenting educational information and facilitating connections between families and Schools. While MySchoolUAE takes reasonable care in presenting such information, it does not guarantee that all third-party Content is complete, accurate or up to date.
13.4 The display of any School name, logo, photograph, video, trademark or other identifying material on the Platform does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation or commercial partnership between MySchoolUAE and that School unless expressly stated.
13.5 Except as expressly permitted under these Terms or by applicable law, no User may copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, license, sell, commercially exploit or otherwise use any part of the Platform or its Content without the prior written consent of MySchoolUAE or, where applicable, the relevant intellectual property owner.
13.6 Users shall not use automated or systematic methods to access, extract, reproduce or reuse substantial portions of the Platform or its Content for the purpose of creating competing products or services, reproducing the Platform, or otherwise exploiting the Platform without the prior written consent of MySchoolUAE.
14. USER CONTENT
14.1 Users remain solely responsible for all User Content submitted through the Platform.
14.2 Users represent and warrant that they own, or have all necessary rights, permissions and authority to submit any User Content made available through the Platform.
14.3 By submitting User Content, Users grant MySchoolUAE a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt and use such Content solely for the purposes of operating, improving, maintaining, promoting and providing the Platform Services.
14.4 MySchoolUAE reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, moderate, edit, refuse or remove User Content that, in its reasonable opinion:
- (a)violates these Terms;
- (b)infringes applicable law;
- (c)infringes third-party rights;
- (d)is misleading, fraudulent or inaccurate;
- (e)may damage the security, integrity or reputation of the Platform.
14.5 Users acknowledge that any Content submitted through publicly accessible areas of the Platform may become visible to authorised users of the Platform where required for the provision of the relevant services.
15. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
15.1 The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, products or services for the convenience of Users.
15.2 MySchoolUAE does not own or control such third-party services and accepts no responsibility for their availability, content, privacy practices or performance.
15.3 Accessing third-party websites or services is entirely at the User's own risk and may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.
15.4 MySchoolUAE shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from a User's use of third-party services.
16. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
16.1 Users may stop using the Platform at any time.
16.2 MySchoolUAE reserves the right to suspend, restrict or terminate any Account or access to the Platform immediately where it reasonably believes that:
- (a)these Terms have been breached;
- (b)fraudulent or unlawful activity has occurred;
- (c)inaccurate or misleading information has been provided;
- (d)continued access may compromise the security or integrity of the Platform;
- (e)termination is necessary to comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
16.3 Suspension or termination shall not affect any rights or obligations that accrued prior to the effective date of such suspension or termination.
16.4 MySchoolUAE may retain information relating to terminated Accounts where required to:
- (a)comply with applicable law;
- (b)resolve disputes;
- (c)enforce these Terms;
- (d)maintain security records;
- (e)protect legitimate business interests.
16.5 Provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and any other provisions intended by their nature to survive termination shall remain in effect following termination.
17. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
17.1 The Platform and all Platform Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
17.2 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MySchoolUAE makes no representation or warranty regarding:
- (a)the accuracy, completeness or reliability of information displayed on the Platform;
- (b)the availability or uninterrupted operation of the Platform;
- (c)compatibility with all devices or software;
- (d)the suitability of any School for a particular child;
- (e)admission outcomes or enrolment decisions;
- (f)the availability of places at any School.
17.3 School Profiles may contain information supplied by Schools or obtained from publicly available sources. While MySchoolUAE takes reasonable steps to maintain accurate information, it does not guarantee that all information is complete, current or error-free.
17.4 Users should independently verify any information that may influence an educational decision, including tuition fees, admissions requirements, inspection ratings, facilities and availability.
17.5 MySchoolUAE does not guarantee that communications between Parent Users and Schools will result in admission, enrolment or any other outcome.
18. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
18.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
18.2 Subject to Clause 18.1, MySchoolUAE shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential loss or damage, including loss of revenue, profits, business opportunities, goodwill or anticipated savings.
18.3 MySchoolUAE shall not be liable for:
- (a)decisions made by Schools;
- (b)admission or enrolment outcomes;
- (c)inaccuracies in information supplied by Schools or third parties;
- (d)interruption or temporary unavailability of the Platform;
- (e)unauthorised access to User Accounts resulting from a User's failure to safeguard login credentials;
- (f)acts or omissions of third-party service providers;
- (g)any dispute arising between Users and Schools.
18.4 Where liability cannot be excluded, MySchoolUAE's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by the relevant User to MySchoolUAE during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
19. INDEMNITY
19.1 Users agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless MySchoolUAE, its directors, officers, employees, contractors and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in connection with:
- (a)breach of these Terms;
- (b)misuse of the Platform;
- (c)infringement of intellectual property rights;
- (d)unlawful or inaccurate User Content;
- (e)violation of applicable laws;
- (f)disputes between Users and Schools arising from the User's conduct or information submitted through the Platform.
19.2 This indemnity shall survive termination of these Terms and the User's use of the Platform.
20. FORCE MAJEURE
20.1 MySchoolUAE shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under these Terms where such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including any force majeure event or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.
20.2 During the existence of a Force Majeure event, the affected obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the event.
20.3 MySchoolUAE shall use reasonable efforts to minimise the impact of any Force Majeure event where reasonably practicable.
21. CHANGES TO THE PLATFORM AND THESE TERMS
21.1 MySchoolUAE may update, modify, enhance, suspend or discontinue any part of the Platform or the Platform Services at any time where reasonably necessary for operational, commercial, technical, legal or security reasons.
21.2 MySchoolUAE reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time.
21.3 MySchoolUAE will publish the updated version of these Terms on the Platform together with the revised Effective Date. Users are encouraged to review these Terms periodically to remain informed of any updates.
21.4 Continued access to or use of the Platform after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms.
21.5 If a User does not agree to any amendment, the User must discontinue use of the Platform.
22. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
22.1 By using the Platform, Users agree to receive communications from MySchoolUAE electronically, including by email, through the Platform or by other electronic means made available by MySchoolUAE.
22.2 Electronic communications may include:
- account notifications;
- application updates;
- security notices;
- operational communications;
- legal notices;
- service announcements.
22.3 Users are responsible for maintaining a valid email address and ensuring that their contact information remains accurate and up to date.
22.4 Nothing in this clause shall require a User to receive marketing communications where the User has exercised any applicable right to opt out.
23. GENERAL PROVISIONS
23.1 Independent Relationship. Nothing contained in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, employment or fiduciary relationship between MySchoolUAE and any User or School.
23.2 Assignment. MySchoolUAE may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to any affiliated entity or successor without prior notice. Users may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations without the prior written consent of MySchoolUAE.
23.3 Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between MySchoolUAE and the User regarding the use of the Platform and supersede any prior agreements or understandings relating to the same subject matter.
23.4 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
23.5 No Waiver. Any failure or delay by MySchoolUAE to exercise any right or remedy under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.
23.6 Survival. Any provisions which by their nature are intended to survive termination, including but not limited to provisions relating to intellectual property, confidentiality, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, shall survive termination of these Terms.
24. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
24.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
24.2 Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the United Arab Emirates, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
24.3 Before commencing legal proceedings, the parties shall use reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute through good-faith discussions.
