When you create an account, contact us, request information, submit an enquiry or apply to a School through the Platform, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number, country of residence, relationship to the student and other contact details necessary to provide our services.

Where you submit an enquiry or Application on behalf of a student, we may also collect information relating to the student, including their name, date of birth, nationality, preferred year of entry, current or previous school, curriculum preferences, language proficiency, sibling information, learning support requirements where voluntarily provided, supporting documents and any other information you choose to provide as part of the admissions process.

Where Schools use the Platform, we may collect information relating to the School and its authorised representatives, including contact details, admissions information, School Profile content, communications exchanged through the Platform and other information necessary to provide our services.

We also collect certain information automatically when you use the Platform, including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, pages visited, session activity, approximate location derived from technical information where available, and information collected through cookies and similar technologies. This information helps us maintain the security, performance and functionality of the Platform and better understand how our services are used.

In some circumstances, we may obtain information from publicly available sources, Schools, regulatory authorities or trusted third-party service providers where this is necessary to operate, improve or maintain the Platform.

We use your personal information to operate, maintain and improve the Platform and to provide the services you request. Depending on how you interact with the Platform, we may use your personal information to:

1. (a)create and manage your account;
2. (b)facilitate communication between Parent Users and Schools;
3. (c)process enquiries and Applications submitted through the Platform;
4. (d)share relevant information with Schools selected by Parent Users to facilitate the admissions process;
5. (e)provide customer support and respond to enquiries or requests;
6. (f)personalise your experience and improve the functionality and performance of the Platform;
7. (g)analyse Platform usage, monitor trends and improve our services;
8. (h)maintain the security, integrity and reliability of the Platform;
9. (i)detect, investigate and prevent fraud, unauthorised access or misuse of the Platform;
10. (j)comply with applicable legal, regulatory and contractual obligations; and
11. (k)send operational communications relating to your account, enquiries, Applications or the Platform.

Where permitted by applicable law, we may also send newsletters, event invitations, product updates and other marketing communications relating to MySchoolUAE. You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in our communications or by contacting us directly.

Where required under applicable law, MySchoolUAE processes personal information on one or more of the following legal bases:

2. (b)the performance of a contract or the provision of services requested by you;
3. (c)compliance with applicable legal or regulatory obligations; or
4. (d)our legitimate interests in operating, maintaining, improving and protecting the Platform, provided that those interests do not override your rights and freedoms.

MySchoolUAE does not sell, rent or trade personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may share personal information where reasonably necessary to operate the Platform and provide our services. Depending on the circumstances, personal information may be shared with:

1. (a)Schools selected by Parent Users for the purpose of processing enquiries or Applications;
2. (b)third-party service providers that support the operation, maintenance, hosting, security, communications or analytics of the Platform;
3. (c)payment service providers, where applicable;
4. (d)professional advisers, auditors or insurers acting on behalf of MySchoolUAE;
5. (e)regulatory authorities, government bodies or law enforcement agencies where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law; and
6. (f)other third parties where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of MySchoolUAE, our Users or others, or where otherwise permitted by law.

When a Parent User submits an enquiry or Application through the Platform, the relevant information is shared with the selected School to enable the School to review, manage and respond to the enquiry or Application.

Once personal information has been shared with a School, that School becomes independently responsible for processing such information in accordance with its own privacy practices and applicable laws.

MySchoolUAE requires third-party service providers processing personal information on its behalf to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, provide our services, comply with applicable legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our legal rights.

When personal information is no longer required, we will securely delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable legal requirements and our internal data retention practices.

Personal information is primarily processed and stored within the United Arab Emirates.

Where third-party service providers are used, MySchoolUAE takes reasonable steps to ensure that any processing of personal information is carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

2. (b)request that inaccurate or incomplete personal information be corrected or updated;

The latest version of this Privacy Policy will always be published on the Platform together with the revised Effective Date.
